As of June 13, the total freight volume of the China-Laos Railway in 2026 had exceeded 10 million tons, with cross-border freight exceeding 2.5 million tons and an average daily freight volume of 67,000 tons. The milestone of surpassing 10 million tons has boosted bilateral and regional trade growth, further consolidated the opening-up landscape of southwest China, and continued to unleash the comprehensive value of the cross-border railway corridor.
